The full moon, any full moon, is significant for it’s big energy. This can translate as intensity, amplification, and shining the light of awareness. What are you doing? Or even more potent, what are you thinking?

Stop for a moment, sit down and quiet the mind, which is one of the very first suggestions by yogis on how we might more skillfully navigate our lives. Stop and take a few deep breaths. If anything 2020 is teaching us, it’s that attachment to how things are going to look, or how things should be, will only further our own unease.

Aquarius is a fixed air sign. It’s intellectual. It has boundaries around it (think of the rings of Saturn, which is the ruler of Aquarius). It fights for causes but dislikes opinions of opposition. Any of this sound like this full moon energy?

It is said this full moon is thus far in 2020, the most intense of all. Harsh, and aggressive. But we can use this to our advantage, not by bristling to it all, but by allowing it to help us energize and flow into our creativity and intentions. After all, Aquarius’ symbol is a Water Bearer, navigating intense adjustments with acceptance, grace, and flexibility. Pour water over your mind. Wash away the dirt.

A key superpower in this full moon is to stay centered amidst great swirling. I mean, this is an important skill anytime, but it’s critical at this lunation. Focus on the job at hand, which is you, primarily, and the emerging life you want to create. Use Saturn-like boundaries to keep anger and despair at bay. Daily prayers and practices are important not only because they will ground you , but will keep you open to deeper truths (sutra 1.3) which will not only help uproot systems that no longer serve but help you spring forth with fresh new high vibes.

Other less esoterical grounding practices may include dancing, singing, writing, or painting. Even the mundane purging of old files, clothes, and other household items can help. Sorting and organizing with a focusing on what you really want to be a part of your life today and in the months to come.

Wishing you lots of love this glorious Aquarian Full Moon, and always.
